What I Think

Ymail and rocketmail?

Posted on: June 20, 2008

Yahoo is trying to lure users with Ymail and rocketmail. According to them about 266 million people use Yahoo! Mail, which means the odds of getting an address like john@yahoo.com are pretty poor at this point. Today Yahoo! made things a bit easier by opening up two new domains, @ymail.com and @rocketmail.com. But seriously ymail (are they trying to copy gmail?) and rocketmail (would you like to have xyz@rocketmail.com as your id?). It is better if you register a domain and use Google Apps to link it with an email account for free.

But if you are a die hard Yahoo! mail fan you can sign up here.
