The trouble with Vista

Posted by: vinitneo on: April 2, 2008

Vista is suffering from low sales and bad publicity. The reasons -

  1. High system requirements – Vista requires high end system…not everyone has high end system.
  2. Program incompatibility – Even after the release of Service pack 1 many programs are incompatible with vista. People aren’t going to switch to vista if their favorite programs don’t work with vista.
  3. Windows XP (I think) is still faster than vista. slower response times are annoying.

Microsoft has already set up the stage for Windows 7, which is a bad move as it’ll provide an option to switch directly to Windows 7. It also seems like Microsoft is abandoning vista.
